it has 152k drove great and has newer tires, whats your oppinions of it
I was also was thinking on putting a wanted ad in the local paper if you think its crappy.
If its good I try and find power window doors at a junk yard and repaint it. also he may go lower on the price

Re: Good Buy?

It's hard to tell what condition the car is in, from the link provided. It comes down to what YOU want to get out of the car.

Personally... I wouldn't touch it.

But if you like it, go for it

It looks like the body kit is molded. While this looks nice, this will make replacing/fixing parts a pain if you have to.

It's hard to tell looking at a pic. It doesn't say what trim or motor it has. I'd want to makew sure it wasn't beat on, and that it was lowered properly, etc. Buying a car that is already modded isn't neccasarly bad, but what what to make sure it was done right. If they did things worng, like lower it wrong, you'll have to spend a chunk fixing it.

Assuming it's a CX, the dealer value around here is 3K, for the DX it's $3600, and the Si is $4350. I personally would never pay that much, dealer prices are inflated. I'd wouldn't pay more than private party for it.

If you want to look into it, get a compression check done on the motor and look into what was modded and how it was done. You don't want to buy it and find they have chopped springs. And remember that a molded body will require much more body work if it ever needs fixing (it's hard to tell if it's molded in the pic). I can't really give an honest opinion of it as I havn't seen the car, so I hope this rundown helps a bit. If it's been beat on don't touch it.
