Cruise Control and brake lights inop
Cruise Control and brake lights are out on my 2001 Suburban. Fuzes in both fuze boxes are all OK. Anyone else have this problem?

Re: Cruise Control and brake lights inop
I had a similar problem with my '97 Chevy Venture. These vans are known to have problems with the rear bulbs constantly blowing out. One time my ABS and TCS lights were on, on the dash and I had no cruise control at the same time. I ended up replacing the housing that the bulbs slide into,(some call it the "boards") and that solved the problem with the bulbs constantly burning out, my ABS and TCS lights went out on the dash, and my cruise control started working again. For more info, you can check out this link:http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=455353 I'm not sure if it's the same system your Suburban has, but it's worth a look into.

Re: Cruise Control and brake lights inop
your brake light switch is bad or unplugged. since it is what controls both the brake lights, and the "disengage" function of the cruise control, that'd be where i'd go first.
