1987 325i possible buy....

Just wanted to say what's up. I am currently looking at purchasing a 325i from a college student. It is in okay shape at best. Nothing visual, but some idiot lights are on. the cooling level, brake pad liner, and the front left blinker is shot, so it blinks twice as fast. She is asking 2500, but I only want to offer 2000. Does this seem like a fair deal, or should I be leary of this so called bargain? I already spoke to a mechanic and he seemed to think it's okay, since most of those problems seemed minimal. There is a hole in the exhaust also. I drove the car and it drives fine, and the brakes work fine... no squeaking or anything. Also the coolant level is fine. I think it's just the car has been a little neglected. I'd like to get some input from you all. This car will be my 2nd car since my squaw will drive the GTI. Also, if anybody has any performance numbers about this car I'd be interested in hearing the factory specs. Thanks a million
