It's A Good Thing I Didn't Race....
...Cause i would have been TOAST...
Earlier today i was on sunrise hwy, and a black pontiac bonneville pulled up to me..at a red light... I look over and se the badge SSEi...3.8 supercharged........lol. He sees me, and says (in the most idiotic tone) "yo you wanna go man..?"... I laughed and said no, your cars got balls and mine is still wearing her skirt...he cracked up.. He took off anyway, showing me the power of a blown 3.8.... Those cars are sleepers, especially if you de-badge them... I just checked out the stats on them, they are like 240hp/260tq i believe... AND he's about 300lbs lighter than my tbird... -95 4.6 tbird cai/3.27/cat back

I made a mistake..they're actually 240hp/280tq...being that it is a fwd..it shouldn't lose to much to the wheels..so it should be like 216fwhp/256fwtq..
Stock they hit 15.1-15.4 My car, even with 3.27 gears, cai, and a cat back should hit like 15.7-16 flat....if i preload the tc, maybe 15.5...

if they weren't so damn heavy they'd be real fast and it's a shame they don't come with a manual tranny. they've got great potential though.

no its just that the engine in the 3800 SC is bullet proof, they have low compression pistons and i believe forged rods, and with the stock boost you really dont need those for that engine. So that engine has alot of potential, with a pulley and an ECU upgrade you can be seeing low 13's high 12's

Also i would like to point that you can use the 5 speed tranny's from the older Beretta's on the 3800's.

Pulley and ECU would get you...low 13's...no way.. Jayson, honestly i think that false.
If it was pulley, ecu, and 50hp shot you'd hit MID 13's, easily. -WITH SLICKS.

i dont personally care much for the regular 3800, i think its a bit on the weak side for a v6 thats supposed to be a performance v6.

One of the best engines out there, is the 3.5 6 out of the 2k2 maximas....255hp/240tq...n/a...
Lol, i love american cars, but you look at the history of them...early 90's to present, and it's simply retarded.. fords 95 5.0 putting out only 215hp fords 04 4.6l 260hp chevy's lt1 and ls1 both putting out under 330hp... I'd like to see a nissan 5.0 v8...i bet that would be 380hp NA. American engines usually need a compressor to develop some decent power-sad...
