Hey guys! I'm new to this wonderful site and would like to ask everyone, how would you rate some of these fine actors in the scale of 1 to 10, and if you can be bothered then tell a reason, why you rated them that way too, ok here goes:
Johnny Depp(Edward Scissorhands, Fear And Loading In Las Vegas, From Hell, Donny Brasco) Sean Penn (Dead Man Walking, I Am Sam, Carlito's Way) Brad Pitt (12 Monkeys, Kalifornia, Se7en) Denzel Washington(Malcolm X,Training Day, Philadelphia) Tom Hanks(Castaway, Philadelphia, Saving Private Ryan) Jimmy Stewart(It's A Wonderful Life, Vertigo, Rear Window) Russell Crowe(Insider,A Beautiful Mind, Gladiator) Marlon Brando(The Godfather, On The Waterfront, A Streetcar Named Desire) Robert De Niro(Taxi Driver, Raging Bull) Edward Norton(Fight Club, American History X, Primal Fear) Al Pacino(Scarface, Scent Of A Woman, Godfather) Kevin Spacey(American Beauty, Usual Suspects) I put some films in there too, in case someone doesn't recognise the names.:-) Thanks! Johnny Depp 7 Sean Penn 8 Brad Pitt 7 Denzel Washington 9 Tom Hanks 10 Jimmy Stewart 10 Russell Crowe 8 Marlon Brando 10 Robert De Niro 10 Edward Norton 9 Al Pacino 10 Kenin Spacey 10 That's how i would rate them......What about you guys? |

Re: How would you rate these actors?
Johnny Depp 8 (A very good actor, just not as much of a stand-out as many of his peers mentioned here.)
Sean Penn 8.5 (Same situation as Depp, but I do like his work.) Brad Pitt 8.5 (He of course draws a lot of flack from other guys for his looks, but I think I've liked him in every film appearance I've seen him in. He plays good characters and makes movies that IMO are great. Some actors, like Stallone, should take a lesson in which movies to make and which ones not to make. I do think Pitt needs to pick up a very tough role to show more of what he can - or can't - do.) Denzel Washington 10 (Consistently riveting in his performances.) Tom Hanks 10 (Excellent career revamping from comedy roles to dramatic portrayals, which I believe started in 1993 with Philadelphia. His movies are consistently some of the biggest and best flicks in Hollywood.) Jimmy Stewart 9 (Only seen him in It's a Wonderful Life, which is one of my favorite movies, and in which he did a brilliant job.) Russell Crowe 9 (From what I've seen, he is excellent, a real role player - I have yet to see Gladiator.) Marlon Brando 9 (I have unfortunately seen only a little of his work, so keep that in mind with my "grading.") Robert De Niro 8 (Compared with this tough crew of peers, he is excellent, but not quite as top shelf as some others.) Edward Norton 10 (I'd practically give him a 10+. I think the brightest young actor in the business. Always excellent characters and movies.) Al Pacino 9.5 (Very passionate on-screen, always like his movies.) Kenin Spacey 10 (Like Ed Notron, KS is deserving of a 10+. Has an amazing ability to make his characters the most captivating people in any film he works in. Absolutely top shelf.) Hope this helps, and welcome to AF!! :sun: |
