My truck sits 1.5" lower on right side than left. Stock!
i recently bought a 2003 Chevrolet S10. It is the ZR-2 model with 4x4 and a higher suspension, but still stock. ive noticed lately that the right front and rear fenders are about 1.5" closer to the ground than the left front and rear fenders. the truck is still under factory warranty so i called the dealer today and, to no surprise to me, they gave me the runaround saying its supposed to be like that. they had the nerve to tell me that the truck is supposed to be lower on one side to make up for the crown of the road. what!?!? does this make any sense? how would it make up for the road making it tilt to the right by making the truck tilt further to the right?!? ive measured the shocks and they are more compressed on the right front and rear and the leaf springs in the rear are more compressed on the right side. if anyone has any ideas or help, thanks!

As hard as it may be to belive, s10's do sit lower on one side. I cant give you a reasonable explination as to why... but they do.

It could be something as simple as the battery and gas tank are on one side. With a full tank, my 73 Impala Wagon sits a lot more than 1.5" lower on the left, and when its empty the left sits higher.

its not the gas tank. the tank is on the left side right in front of the rear wheel well. it still sits to the right with a full tank of gas and me sitting in the drivers seat...

I Dont think it has to do with weight loading, because I'v lowered several and the increased spring rate didnt even effect it. I think on all the ones I'v did only the right front was lower though.

When I first saw the thread subject line, I thought 'I bet it's an S10'
This is a very common problem. There are dozens of threads in the Chevy S10 sub forum on AF about the "S10 Lean". Try reading through some of the suggestions there, since many readers have fixed this problem on their own Chevys. I believe (but am not sure) your front torsion bars' ride height is adjustible, (each side can be adjusted individually) and can be used to level out the ride. IMHO one torsion bar needs adjusting.
