Power Seat and Steering wheel adjustment
Power Seat and Steering wheel adjustment. I left my door open for a couple of minutes while it was raining and now I cannot move my driver's side power seat and steering wheel. I check the fuses and they are fine. Does anyone know where i can start to troubleshoot this?

There is a TSB from BMW with regards to this issue. I am not presently at the shop but I would be willing to look this up for you. This is not an uncommon problem.

the control that is on the side of your seat also controls the steering wheel.I usually have to push the plug back in and move it until the seat starts moving.once the seat moves you can adjust the steering wheel.if this doesnt work you may have to replace the seat switch which may have shorted out due to water.
