E39 power seats and steering wheel problem
The driver power seat and steering wheel on my 1997 528i stopped working. I have have looked under the seat for loose connectors and checked the fuses and they are all OK. Are there any other fuse boxes other than the one in the trunk and in the glove compartment? Anywhere else I should check? Need you help!! Thanks.

Re: E39 power seats and steering wheel problem
Same thing happened to me.
The switchs on the left of your seat came unhooked. Unscrew the plastic cover on the left of the seat . Then push the connector back on the switches. It will work. Believe me, I spent a day taking apart my car before I fiqured it out. Good luck. Rich |

Thank you Rich, that was exactly the problem. I had replaced the panel a couple of months ago because it was broken, maybe I did not push the connector in properly. You saved me a lot of $$$.

seat and steering lock up
I'm on my way to the garage to try this out. Have been annoyed for days about this (I just purchased this 97 540i). If this works, every problem I have had with the care, I found answers for on this forum.
