Dynoed WS6, impressed w/ numbers

It pulled out 358 Standard, 351 corrected horsepower. It was over 98 degrees in the garage, and my head still hurts from the heat. Max power was made at 5,880 rpms, with 341 rwtq at 4750 rpms. I pretty much gained over 20 whp off of the tune, so hopefully my track times will improve in October.

Oh and the guy removed my skip shift.

Woot!!!!!!!!

Re: Dynoed WS6, impressed w/ numbers

I hate skip shift. Now the light doesn't even come on. Oh the joys of skipping through gears w/o having to go to 4th gear from 1st.

Yes that was a stupid move on GM's part.

Disagreed.

The car has MORE than enough torque down low to pull it forward with traffic in 4th gear from 15-20 MPH. Why not have a gas saving feature on the car??
You could either just ride out 1st a little bit, or have it removed. I also got it removed though.

Nice numbers!!! I wanna see the graph!

Re: Dynoed WS6, impressed w/ numbers

Well the car does need a 160 degree thermostat. He tuned it with that in mind, as I told him i'd have on in in a week (Got one for $32 shipped from jegs.com). The stock thermo definitely makes the car run too hot. We had to wait awhile for the car to cool down. I'm sure it'll probably be putting down over 351whp in a cooler environment, and with the new thermostat.
