GSR I'm assuming your talking about the engine is the B18C1. It's a 1.8 liter vtec(4 valves per cylinder with variable valve timing) motor. They are around 3200-3800 for a complete swap and have a power output of about 180HP and 130ft/lbs of torque. If you mean the car, it is an Integra with that engine. I think that should help.

Re: what is gsr ?

In some parts of the world (US and Canada for sure) we have what's called the Integra GS-R. In Japan they are called the "Si VTEC" (probably other things as well). It comes with the engine that QUICK said above. It's the model below the Type R.

Re: what is gsr ?

Actually a B18C1 is in the Integra GSR(USDM) and has 169hp and 128lb/ft torque. The B18C is in the Integra SiR-G(JDM) with 178hp and 129lb/ft of torque.

Re: what is gsr ?

"B18c" is interchangable with the ITR and "GS-R" engines. C5 is the USDM ITR.

Re: what is gsr ?

Isnt the JDM Type R something like B18C-R and the SiR-G is B18C?

Re: what is gsr ?

I've never seen an ITR block in person, but all the ones I've seen online just said B18C. I could be wrong, but maybe people just write the -R so people don't get confused as to which engine they're talking about. I don't think Honda thought this one through

They use C5 to designate Type R. C1 is GSR.

both are just stamped b18c
one has red valve cover and the differnce in the intake mani is easy to spot.

often the ITR in jdm is refurred to as the spec R

As Ace$nyper said, the B18C is both the code for the JDM SiR (their equal to the GSR) and the Type-R. The Type-R puts down more power, has and the motor from the outside has a different intake mani and a red vavle cover.

Unlike in Japan, in the US the GSR and Type-R have different engine codes, no the same B18C stamp. The GSR is stamped B18C1 and has 170hp, 10 less hp than the JDM SiR. It has a lower comp ratio though, 10.0:1 versus 10.6:1, so it's more turbo friendly. The USDM Type-R is stamped B18C5.
