04 Monte Carlo Stereo Installation
i want to install subs in my new car, but i dont know much about stereos. What do i need to do to get an amp and subs in there? Is it possible to hook some subs up to the amp that it came with?

Re: 04 Monte Carlo Stereo Installation
That factory amp will not be sufficient to power subs. You will need to buy an amp, and if your still using a stock headunit, probably have to get an amp with speaker level inputs, bucuase I dont think your factory head has rca's. Then you need to run a power wire from the + on your batt and then ground it, and hook the remote wire from the amp somewhere up to your ignition so it turns on when you turn the key on. sound confusing? If so, maybe take it somewhere to have it professionally installed.
