Making of FAIRLADY 240ZG *1/12 scale*

Hi,
Started Tamiya 1/12 Fairlady 240ZG.
First of all, I'm building other models at same time therefore this project is going to be a long term thread.
this kit is on spot resale now but I've got this kit at Yahoo auction last year and paid a lot for this!

Planning to make sports seats, brake rotors and wheels.
seats and rotors are based on Fujimi 1/12 R32 and make wheels from scratch.
use Tamiya 1/12 RSR 934 front tyres (already got). 934 rear tyre is too wide for 240ZG.
Exterior would be normal look except hood vents and rear spoiler.

Started from L24 engine.
assembled 25 parts and applied primer.

painted mixed light gun metallic then added washed paint.

Making plug cords.
used WAVE's pipe No.3 and No.4 for connect parts of plug.
cut them 3mm length.

For distributor, put No.3 pipe(2mm length) into 2mm plastic round stick.

Here's the finished pic.

Result pics for 3 days.
Painted head cover Finisher's Sparking Blue. oil filter is Finisher's Jaguar Purple.

Thanks.
my way of washed paint as follows.
paint base color (acrylic) then paint grooves and corners diluted flat black(enamel).
after flat black paint is dry, soak a swab in enamel thinner just a little
and wipe off the flat black paint.

Awesome work so far Kunta, your builds always inspire me. I've been looking alot on Yahoo Japan auctions and have noticed a few people making parts for the 1:12 240z, are you thinking of using any? Mostly I see alot of wheel options and stuff like that. Anyway I really like how this is going so far, and thanks for the wash tutorial. I look forward to seeing more

Thanks
Gray
