Does a non-cruise control car have the workings installed?
I'm cross-posting here because the Cavaliers and Sunfires are basically the same cars. Here's a link to the original post;
It's a '96 Sunfire. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=446069 What I'd like to know is if anybody tried putting a cruise control stalk in place of there regular non-cruise control light switch. Does the basic cruise control workings exist in the car minus the stalk? Will putting in the cruise control stalk enable it, or are other items required? |

Re: Does a non-cruise control car have the workings installed?
no its not, you also need the TB attachment or a TB with cruise control. You also need the cruise control unit. The cruise control is a seperate throttle cable and system. Theres a small box that controls that cable and adjust it to keep the speed constant.
So no, you need more than the cruise control stick. |
