mechanical errors

well unfourntaly i crashed my last car and totalled it and now im into the market what are some of the major mechanical problems with this car thanks for any info by the way i fount a 1999 with 79000 miles for 6500 it has an intake and exhuast its a rs

I would say $6,500 is way too high for that car. More like 5k.

If you are going to get an RS, don't expect a whole lot of power out of it. I can't really think of any huge mechanical things to watch for except the usual shit with any car. My advice, don't buy it.

Another Cavy-DSM convert! Yeah wait out man... you can get a lot better deal than that. My advice: get at least a GST/TSI or a GSX/TSI AWD. I would get a 1g with a 6 bolt and build the shit out of it.

OT, but holy shit this thread title stressed me out! I work on expensive semiconductor equipment all night, and when I see "Mechanical Error" on the screen that usually means major damage and a long night ahead of me. Thanks for ruining my day off!

well i talked him down to 6000 and i can prolly go further and after i sell his sub which is brand new and 1000 watt it'll even out what do u think??

I'ma being willing to bet you 90% it seems like a good idea/deal now but you will be kicking yourself in the ass for not waiting for a gst/gsx etc. Before I had my eclipse I bought a civic because I was impatient and lost so much money in the process through all the buyings/sellings. Just hold out a little while longer
