Angry staff cuts again!

This week the latest round of reorganization was confirmed...the boss is going to let our company slide even further down the list of big emplyers. As part of the package, people who quit will not be replaced and their duties will be shared among the remaining crews........For me, this means less desk work and more hard graft.....I don't mind doing my share,I just wish the bosses would realise that 'my share' should not be what used to be called '3 jobs'.We have made phenomenal efficiencies in the last year, output is up,waste is down, ingredients are cheaper and our export markets are booming....why stick the blade into the workforce YET AGAIN ?

What it all boils down to is that the bird on top wants more money (or cars, hookers, etc...). If your not bird on top, you get shat on.

That's awful Mr T. It's happening to so many companies now too. It just seems that they want to see how far they can push their staff and how much work they can pile on them until they snap. It really sucks. Employers just don't think about staff welfare anymore, just profit

Yes, so true. Just about every place I've worked has done this! They push & psuh & push, then wonder why their employees go postal. The last place I worked had some pretty heavy security because people would get so fucked over!

Hopefully things will swing the other way in the future, but it'll take a leader (see Fight Club). "Don't fuck with us!" -Tyler Durden

It's the same around here, but it was my department's fault. We efficiencied ourselves out of jobs. Now we took over 1/2 of another department just so all of us would keep our jobs. The wages aren't great but I love my work and the freedom that comes with it.

I am leaving for work now.Everybody will be cranky when I get there. The morons among the staff will be doing their best to stop production in whatever cowardly ways they can find.I'd tell them to piss off if they don't like it,but since that would mean more work for me,I'll just have to swallow it.

I could be at home,on paid sick leave, talking to my best mate on AF..So why AM i going in?Simple.I'm an idiot.
