Road America: Ferrari Racing Days (56k DEATH)

Myself and my girlfriend and her family went up to Elkheart Wisconsin this past weekend to the Road America track for the 360 Challenge. I brought along the digicam and now have brought a few pics to share with you:

This first one shouldn't even need an introduction.

I saw these and wanted run up and make love to them. It's awesome in pictures, but even better up close. Yes, that's right, the Enzo. They had a black one and a red one there.

This is the price tag on the beautiful Red one. Any takers?

They also had an Indy Car race, which was going on when we got there. Here are a few select shots of the cars.

Now on to the 360 race. These are in no particular order, though I do know which car was the lead car/race winner (which I'll point out). I also apologize for the slight blur in some of them, but you've got to understand that they are going very very fast .

This is the lead car/race winner. He lead the entire race and was also the defending champion.

If you look here you can see the black car lose control and head into the grass.

Another picture of the black car in the grass.

Along with the 360 race and the Indy Cars, there was a 1980's Ferrari race. Here are few shots of the cars involved.

After the racing finished up, we went and walked around the Paddock as the teams were loading up cars and fixing any dings.

Loading one into the trailer. I love those overhead car storage trailers.

This one looks so nice doesn't it?

Then you walk around it and find out the truth (close your eyes those of you who have weak stomachs)

This made me sad. I hate to think how much it would cost to repair that.

I must say, this thing is a beast

Of all the sounds I've ever heard, this has got to be one of the most beautiful. Hot damn.

And last but not least, a random wheel shot.
