What's your guys' opinions on...

the S14 Silvia front end conversion kit for the 96-00 Civic? I like it, but I it's a major change. I haven't seen any cars that have it yet (not even at HIN San Mateo this past weekend). The only thing I'd be afraid of is this conversion following the 'altezza' path, and getting to be too common of a conversion to do, because I hear a lot of talk about it. I love the look of the headlights though, that narrow, slitted look is such a turn on.
Anyways, I was just wondering what your guys' opinions were on it.
For $1750, from www.importtrenz.com, you get:

2 Fenders
1 Fiberglass Hood (carbon fiber upgrade avail. for $300)
1 Front bumper with integrated lip
1 pair S14 projector headlights
1 separate lip
1 Grill

And it looks like this:

wow looks nice.... i dont think you will need to worry about it going down the "path" because it cost alittle too much to be done by everyone....

I don't know what to think

The first one kinda looks like an early 90's eclipse and the second looks like a 5th gen accord with a bodykit.

One thing with that, you'll definatly be different....for awhile anyways....

hehe
Yeah, they're both Civics. I think it's just that the second one (the silver one) has a wide body kit on it.
I'd just be afraid that I'd miss my 'Civic' if I went ahead and did the conversion.

I think it would be sweet though to have people staring at my car (more than they do now j/p ), and trying to figure out what the heck kind of car it is. :hehe:

I like the Silvia front end, but I don't think it looks right on the Civic. Personally, I'd say go for an ITR front conversion, or if you want more subtle, then CTR front conversion (can't remember how much different that is from stock). For me, all I'm gonna do for my front is get me the Angel Eye projectors, and that's about it. Maybe a carbon fiber hood down the line, but I'm just not as much into wild anymore. But like everyone said, you'd definitely be a one of a kind for a long while to come with the S13 front. The ITR front on a 6th gen looks pretty sweet, I've seen a couple of those around here, and I like them.

I think that front end looks nice. Yeah you'll lose the big civic lights, but come on, you'll be soo different getting so many looks you won't even miss it that much. I say you go for it!!!:smoker2:

Awesome, you should get some pics of it if you can. I'm HIGHLY considering that lip right now, either that one or the WW Type-W lip, not sure which one yet. I DID get new rims recent;y though, Rota Circuit 8's. They look really good on there, all I need now is a good drop, and my car will be goot to go on the outside at least. I have pics of my new rims and how they look if you go to my website in the link below in my sig, and then go to my "pics" section.

The red conversion looks tight, but the bottom one is a little too much IMO. It looks like the fenders you get with the kit are flared a bit, so you might want to consider wider flares for the rear as well. Looks good though.

Omg, I have never seen that before! I don't think "sexy" is a strong enough word for that. Where can you get a kit like that?? Do you think they make that for a 6th gen?
Those headlights are sweet. Looks like the earlier body style of the Eclipse.
Damn....

Well thanks a lot for giving me more choices, now I really don't know what I want. :finger:

That last car is f***** sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Red, by any chance were those first pics, cars that were at J&S Xtreme in SoCal? It's a body shop, and I think one of the thing they "specialize" in is the S14 conversion. Just curious. I think the last one, S15 looks better. I'd try to hook you up since I'm in Japan, but you'd probably have a much easier time getting them than me. Also, have you heard of an Anchor Autobody in Stockton?
