What happening @ SAS...

I get alot of emails and PM's asking what's happening at Scale Auto Style at the moment. Understandable as you've all not seen or heard much from me over the past 12months...Why?...relocation to another city, busy social life, general lazyness and starting of a new business venture are all to blame...Well possibly more of the lazyness than any of the other reasons

I've certainly not quit modeling or stopped developing new stuff, just been a bit poor with my time mangement skills and getting things finished. However you will be glad to hear that new stuff is on the way over the next 3-5 weeks or so, details of some items as follows...

Do-Luck R34: Completed this transkit nearly 2 years ago now (no really! I'm not kidding), but only now am I happy to release as a product. Now got around to sorting out the photoetched parts required for the wing (see below) and I'm happy with the results of castings of the Double Six rims. ETA end August

ReAmemiya FD 2001 widebody: Another one that's been in development on and off for over 2 years now. Been going very well, most of the work has been done recently. Not quite ready yet as I'm going to include vac-formed parts in this one and I'm not too happy with the results from my home made vac-form machine. Should have these ironed out soon. ETA early Sept

Below are the etched parts tied in with the above mentioned T/kits.

From top to bottom;

1/2. ReAmemiya wings for FD. 1st one is race type, 2nd is street (same as one found in Fujimi Greddy FD).

3. ReAmemiya wing for FC. Intended to go with ReAmemiya T/kit for Tamiya FC but work not begun on that yet.

4. Do-Luck endplates.

ETA's end August

There's another single wing that's not pictured, this may be a limited release, details of which I shall be keeping to my self for now.

At last!!! I've designed new wing sets. Based upon, from top to bottom; APR, GP Sports/Chokets, Voltex. And yes, in the case of the latter two, 3D wings are on their way!!! I've devised a new method of assembly for these wings, I'll go into that further when I get the etchings back as it may not workout quite as intended... ETA end ot August

New Kevlar decals on their way too, along with restock of CF... ETA early Sept

And finally I will be submitting an order for decal sets that tie in with current SAS t/kits ie TM Evo, 400R, Nismo 350z etc. Just polishing off the artwork for that at moment... ETA mid to late Sept

Good to hear/read that. What about all the other transkits you are working on? Can we expect more kits from you in 2005?

Indeed. If things are worth doing, they are worth doing properly as my mom always told me

Hope I can get a couple more finished before end of year. More 350z stuff probably (Option Stream 1 & 2 ergo Top Secret 350z and Nismo 350z GT). Its about time I did something for the Supra too.

Re: What happening @ SAS...

That 350Z stuff would be cool.

Supra? What about the Bomex kit you wanted to produce years ago?

I see little point in finishing that off due to AMT release.

That's right, even if I think yours would look much better.
