Talking Just sharing a funny memory that you all might appreciate ...

The summer of 2001 I was visiting my brother in Virginia Beach.

For those not familiar with VA Beach, they do not have a boardwalk, they have a main drag. It's called Atlantic avenue and all of the shops, hotels and eateries line both sides of the road.

The road is 2 lanes in both directions, but only the inside lanes are open to traffic. The outside lanes are used for a mini-bus that picks up and drops off the tourists. It's also a quick lane for the police (usually on motorcyles or bicycles) to get up and down the street.

At the end of the road is a short, tight loop to turn around and send you back up the other side of the road. I'm sure it's hard to believe, but this is a wonderful place to go cruising

Anyway, my brother & I were not cruising, we were on foot and we parked our rearends on the steps of the VA Beach post office. We were just watching the cars cruise by at a very slow rate (less than 10 mph).

So this Honda rolls by and the passenger has the seat reclined so far back that we cannot see them. But we did see the mraise their hand up, put it out the window and drop a dairy queen shake on the ground (intentionally). I couldn't believe it!

A few minutes later a cop comes by on a motorcylce and I fallged him down. I explained what happened and gave a description of the car. Unfortuinately he said he could not do anything about it because he did not see it happen.

...

time passes
...

time passes

...

I see a kid jogging up the sidewalk and he enters the street in front of us and start picking up this disgusting mess of a milk shake with his hands. The thing had exploded when it hit the ground and there was milkshake junk everywhere and he was scraping this up with his bare hands!

My brother and I were like WTF?!

Then the cop rolls up to us and said, "You know. The more I thought about it. The more I realized he did not know that I couldn't do anything about it so I stopped him. I told him had tp pick it all up or he was going to be cited."

That's probably the best story about abuse of powers that I've heard.
