Well... me and a buddy stuck his new sony digicam on the tripod in the rear seat... and bungee'd it in.
And... videos tell better stories... it's nothing special though. Right click, save as... please

I thought you said the clutch was basically gone and you couldn't race the Z28?? either way nice kill, but it didn't have the excitment, and didn't go on long enough!

cool man. That's a good place to video something. Although there should be a system to rotate the camera to the right or left.
Then you should learn the passenger how to handle it. That would be awesome. Yr car "body rolls" alot when you step on it. Maybe a new spring setup next to the new clutch? Looked like fun Matt

Re: Z28's first kill.
Well, the rear quarter panels would block any view you'd have if the camera were to pan left or right.
We set the camera up back there just to record our cruising. We didn't intend on racing, that just happened. The clutch only acts up when you get on it, normal driving... it's ok. I'll be nursing it along as long as I can then replacing it with something better. Yeah, the stock suspension is anything but perfect in a F-body. Of course, with most cars, the stock suspension is merely adequite.

Re: Z28's first kill.
Bahhh... fineee...
Ok, so it was saturday night. Cruisin night. What to do? Where to go? My buddy just got this new Sony MiniDVD camcorder. Bitchin little thing, and I haven't had the Z28 for long so for us... it was a reason to go play with our new toys. We mounted the camera in the rear on a tripod leanin back against the 'rear seats' with a bungee cord to the luggage sorta lope things... No idea what they're for, but they sure do make mountin' a camera a snap. Anywho, get to cruisin... chasin the muff aroundd... ya know. What 20 something year old guys do. About 30 miles into our drive, our plan was to take the coast highway as far south as we could without freeways. We pull into a housing complex thinking it was going to take us down to some remote beach/pier thing we'd never seen before. We were wrong, the name was decieving. With a name like Monarch Bay, you'd think you could get to the beach. Which, as it may be... you probably can. Cause it's a private community complete with a fat black dude at the gate sitting in a hut looking at us... a white guy and a vietnamese guy ... already suspicious right?... pull up in a Camaro... I think he'd already speed dialed the police. Not sure... but whatever... I didn't stick around to find out. We flipped a bitch, and went back to the coast highway. Made our right turn as a black late 80's Trans Am went by with what sounded like flowmasters... I know it was flowmasters cause nobody is original with American cars and all use Flowmasters. I'm sick of flowmasters. Anywho, about 5 minutes later we pick our way through traffic. I have no intentions of playing with the Trans Am. We're just cruising and enjoying the night... and our 80's extreme mix cd. Which includes some Guns N' Roses, Nirvana and Wilson Philips "Hold on for one more day". As you can see in the video, I pulled in behind the Trans Am. But the cars that were in my lane both went into the turn lane. So, I went back to the left lane. As I pulled up to the light, I looked to my right and saw the lady. Still rolling, I downshift to 1st gear and she just randomly guns it. You can probably pick her car out in the audio going at it first. I wind out 1st gear, and hit second hard with a small chirp of the tires I'd put 2-3 cars on her by the end of 2nd gear. I let off, and upshift to 3rd gear and coast. She stayed back. My clutch wasn't all that happy with me, infact it gave me it's two weeks notice and told me to go fuck myself. Which is fine, I don't need you clutch. Get outta my life, you low life whore........... um Yeah... anywho. We start to come up on another red light as you can see, she rolls up. Light goes green, I start to take off somewhat normal thinking she wasn't going to do it again. But she did, this time tried to shift as slowly, but as fast as I could not to piss my clutch off more. That's why you see the nose dip so much while I shift. This time, she was able to keep me off for a few more seconds. But at the top of 2nd gear I was ahead by a solid car and half. After that, she stayed back and didn't even want to say hi when we did finally get her come past us. Worst off, she wasn't hot... she looked pretty old. Like in her late 30s, and somewhat fat. What a waste... Although, it was a simple race, so I'm happy. There... ya happy? Ya fuckin fucks!
