heavy milage??

what is a lot of miles on a jeep wrangler? personally i have always driven hondas and ive had them/seen them go over 300k before and still run like the day it was born..but i know all cars cant do that.

a friend of mine is looking at wranglers and we found a 95 with around 140k on it. will this be a reliable car? or should we look for something a little further under the 100s range?

I have a '90 Wrangler and I had 150K miles on the little 2.5L 4-cylinder before I took it out. When I took it out it was still running strong even after all the abuse I gave it (pushing 36" Super Swampers up steep hills and around town). I swapped it out for a 5.2L V8 from a Grand Cherokee because I need the power. In those Jeeps the engines will last forever (as long as you take care of them), you have to watch the transmissions though. I had my AX-5 rebuilt twice but keep in mind that I was taking it off-road a lot.

It depends on what engine you have. I don't know much about the 4, but the I6 can and has been known 2 last up 2 300,00 mi. Plus its easy to swap ford and gm engine into wranglers. Check tranmission and suspension though.
