I think you have to re-program the remote. There is a way to do it yourself, but I forgot where I saw it. I had a friend of mine who works as a mechanic at a local dodge dealer do it for me with the handheld computer.

Re: Keyless Entry
when I changed the battery in my remote I didn't have to reprogram it.
I think I remember seeing something in the owners manual about programming the remotes.

lol, oh how I remember myself going through the exact same thing. This is all you have to do, and yes you will have to reprogram.
Put the key in the ignition and turn it from the "off" position to "on" 5 times in 7 seconds (its possible trust me, lol.) Make sure windows are up, doors closed, valet mode switch off (just incase.) So key in (off) -> on -> off -> on -> off -> on -> off -> on ->off -> on You should then here a chirp sound. Hit the big button on the remote, it should chirp again. Then just get out and test it, should work perfectly. Here's a link to my moment after I suprisingly programmed it: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=424356
