The Big Green

Finished this just moments ago. Took my Top Secrest Skyline kit and gave it a not so top secret color. The paint is TS-20 Metallic Green. The rims are kit stock, painted model masters gold, with model masters steel for the lip.

Now for what y'all all love, pictures, and yes, the rear pictures are blurry, but the batteries are near dead and I don't think I'll be able to retake them at the moment.

It's a little late in the day in Texas for some outside pictures also, so I'll take those tomorrow. I plan on wearing my sunglasses so I don't blind myself with the highly reflective paint. Tamiya metallics seem to do that.

Here we go, some outside pictures on a lovely sunny day in which I was nearly blinded again.

For being uncompounded or polished, that this is mighty shinny and reflective.

Re: The Big Green

Nice! Would have looked more detailed if you detailed the GT wing a little more.

Its a curbside kit. Nice shine you got there, did you leave a part of the diffuser in a kevlar color?
PS: I finished carboning my gt wing so I'll post pics tomorrow.

Re: The Big Green

The diffusers were painted tamiya black, forgot which number. How I had the rear tapped down, the sides didn't get sprayed fully so they have a gold/black look. I got a mirror like finish from the black with nothing other than just laying down one layer of paint. I've been getting really lucky with this painting.

Sure there are a few things here and there that will make it look better, like detailing the wing, and painting the hood locks, but, I feel that this model is finished enough to be called complete. But, a model can never be complete because there is always something you can do to make it better.

That's what the kit came with. It is sitting right up against the bumper. You never know, this car might be running more than two turbos.
