Remove buttons and take bulb to Radio Shack.

there are no screws or anything on the backside of the buttons. Do you have to take the horn cover off?

Re: steering wheel lights

Let me research it through Ford and I will get back to you unless someone else has the answer. A lot of them just pop out, but I am not sure on yours.

Re: steering wheel lights

On a 2001 the switches pop out with a small screwdriver if it has the remote climate control. If it does not have the remote climate control, the air bag needs to be removed. Give me the year and what switches you have on the steering wheel and I will look up the procedure to remove.

Re: steering wheel lights

On the 2002 4dr you have to remove the airbag. See: http://www.rampslides.com/explorer/steeringwheel.html

Oh lord....I guess it's not that important to me then...On the left side it is the cruise on/off switch and that is whats out and the other side is the resume/ accell/decel. That still lights up. I guess I'll just let it go if I have to remove airbags and crap...hahahaha Thank you for the info though, I appreciate it.
