Is this bad???

Hi there, I just wanted to ask you CRX/Civic guys something

I got myself a new exhaust for my 89 Civic

This is not mine, but you get the idea right.

The pipes are pointing a bit up, does anyone else having problems that water
is in the pipes after raining, or when you get out of the car wash???

I don't think it'll do any harm to your car. It shouldn't effect it cause i think it'll just evaporate.

well, the little bit of water that would get in there shouldnt take too long to evaporate on a car that is driven. remember, exhaust gases are hot! My car was in a flood where my entire exhaust was under water by a foot, I had no problems except my resonator rusted out a year later (which isn't just because I was in a flood obviously). Once we replaced the ecu (which was underwater too), and flushed out some shit (mulch, etc), the car ran fine (although my muffler is louder now - probably compressed some of the muffler's insides and reduced it's effectiveness to muffle).

You'll be ok, I think it would take a lot of water to cause problems. And if you're afraid water will come in in a haevy storm just push the pedal and blow it out!

nice pic btw

There is no harm of water getting in there.
If your worried about rust just start up your car a rev it up..The water will shoot right out.
