That is a good looking car, man I love those Cobals SS's...Im trying to convince my parents to accept this deal from GM where they would buy the Protege and sell us a Cobalt SS...then in 2 years when I graduate id buy it from my rents....
but seriously man that is a really nice car...hows the 5-speed tho? the GM 5-speeds that I have experienced have been pretty shitty and nothing compared to the RSX...is this one better?

Re: SS/SC (pics)
It's fidgity at first, along with the clutch, but still pretty smooth and sturdy(this car loves to be powershifted tho). Biggest complaint I have is that I think the clutch is a little weak. But now that's it's got some more miles on it, it seems to grab much better. The car also got a good amount quicker with more miles as well(along with myself learning it's limits/capabilities). Overall it's a kick ass daily driver that can get well over 30mpg if driven with care. Get one if you can, you won't be dissapointed. Plus it's a car seen few and far between.
Oh yeah, one more thing about gear changes... The clutch needs to be in pretty much all the way to make shifts, otherwise...GRIIIIIND. Hah. Which isn't bad once you get used to it cause the clutch doesn't have very much travel.

I must admit they are a step up from the cavalier. My personal favorite is red ex, with the red inserts.
![]() Much nicer interior than srt 4 in my opinion. However these cars remind me a little too much of the tc. ![]() ![]() is it just me ??? |

Re: SS/SC (pics)
nice car man, you ever see one without that wing though? Theres a guy on jbody.org who remove that wing, it looks really sleek without the wing.
But other than that nice car, i to also think they are a cross between a Civic and a TC. Still nice cars. |

Re: SS/SC (pics)
I know, the wing is a little much. But it makes up for it's ridiculousness in functionality. It really holds the car nice an steady passed the 120mph mark. The thing feels like you're doing about 85-90 at those speeds, kinda scary actually. You get sort of a false sense of security, unlike my Camaro which lets you KNOW you're doing well in excess of 100 mph.
Also, even tho I hate to admit...I kinda like it. HAHA.

how does that boost gauge light up at night? does the leters and the needle glow red? or is it just the ring behind the bezel that lights up?

Re: SS/SC (pics)
uhh you do realize that wings do very little on a FWD car correct? Its not the wing holding that car down, its the suspension and tires.
