Thumbs up SS/SC vs. 02 SE-r

Lastnight while going to be buddies from a bar (no I did'nt drink) I pulled up behind a Sentra SE-r at a red light making a left. She took off in a spirited manner but I stayed back a bit not thinking much. I guess she relized I was back there cause after about 1/8th of a mile she nailed the brakes and ended up a car behind me in the next lane to the right. She started picking up speed pretty quickly and before I knew it she was gunning it. I was in third at about 35 mph which puts me at about 2500 rpm (way outa my powerband) but that was enough to stop her pull before she got passed my nose. In a couple of seconds I was a few lengths ahead of her so I let off seeing no need to haul much ass in a 45 mph zone.
At first I thought she was a good looking girl cause all I saw was some blond hair while passing her, (typical guy thing I suppose) but when she pulled up next to me she turned out to be kind of a hagard looking mid to late 30's chick...ewwww. When she pulled along side of me she yelled "I think I could take you but it's kinda messed up right now!"
My response was..."HAHA...I don't think so"
Her's..."Maybe!"
So I figured I'd put any doubts she had to rest. We lined up for another go at about 30 mph. This time I was ready for her and I dropped in it second. Needless to say, five car lengths came in no time. She pulled up to me at the next red light with an amazed look on her face and said "What does yours stop at?" At first I had no clue what she was talking about, so I said "You mean miles per hour or rpm?" She replies "Miles per hour! Mine stops me at 108!"
I laughed a bit and replied with "Mine will do over 140." Her jaw just dropped and I drove off.

Over all it was pretty cool that an older chick instigated a race with me and she was really cool and friendly about it. I just have one question though. She said her speed gov. stops her 02 SE-r at 108...is that correct or what??

I also know it was an 02 model cause she told me.

I'd also like to know what the performance specs for that year of Sentra are.

No idea about the SE-R . But, atleast she was cool about racing you. Too bad she wasn't much of a looker...

Those sentra's are slow. People think just cause they got an aggressive look, it's gonna tear everything apart. I believe stock they are like high 7 0/60 mid 15's 1/4.

Re: SS/SC vs. 02 SE-r

Well a mid 15 isn't the worst ET ever. It's definetly not blazing fast though. But I suppose it would feel like a wild beast to anyone who's never been in a "fast" car before. Say somewhere in the 13's or lower. Then you realize just how slow a 14-15 sec car really is.
Hell, my car runs low-mid 14's stock and it feels slow as all hell to me. Pulls nicely through the turns tho.

I think they are a little worse than a mid 15...I ran one, and put about a length and half on it.

Oh man...you don't understand. You could'nt have payed me enough to touch her with a 10 foot pole. You could tell a lot of cigs/beer and maybe some various drugs help her reach her current state.

Re: SS/SC vs. 02 SE-r

Nice kill but i'm lost on what car a SS/SC is.

i would assume its a supercharged LS1. but then you said you run mid 14's so i'm guessing its not a Supercharged camaro. hehhehe
