Last night I was out in Hyde making sure my suspension was okay for my hill climb race this weekend. I had just replaced a strut housing and end link for the sway bar ... and the $200 race tire the broken one chewed up

Anyway, on my home I am cruising right around the speed limit in the right lane of a stop-n-go redlighted road. There is a long line of cars behind me since people avoid the left lane in fear of getting behind someone waiting 10 minute to make a left.

In the far distance behind me I see the glimmer of a silver sports car, lights on and sitting low. It is easily 10-12 cars back. The impatience of the road gets to him and he jumps out to pass a majority of this line.

As he swoops up I see the unmistakable contours of a 911.
As he passes by my door I see the C4 ... which means two things to me: AWD and a fun kill.

As you all know, I do not street race ... but man did I want to.
The heart rate was going, palms were getting sweaty ...

Luckily there was no break in traffic, so there was no real temptation.
I swear I wouldn't have went for it even if there was a break ...

... I swear I wouldn't have. I will not ... I will not ...

.... for me to break down ... for me to even come close to actually racing on the street.

It would require:

1. an exotic ... lambo .. ferrari ... etc
2. a video camera
3. an area I know well and know I can run safely if I had to

I will not break, although it is very tempting at times.

I think you missed my point .... for me to street race, there would have to be an exotic in the other lane.
It has to be a worthy kill to get me to even consider it.

I used to street race for years ... I haven't touched the stuff in over 2 years.
