93 mustang conv. window motors problem
I got a 93 mustang 5.0 convert. The drivers side rear quarter window stopped working about two years ago, now the passenger side one quit a few months ago. If I push the switch to raise or lower the windows, the battery meter dips some. I unpluged the driver side motor and when I push that switch the battery meter doesn't dip for that side, however, using my multimeter, I can't find any power on that plug. I checked from ground to either wire and across both wires.. I don't see power there, all fuses in the underdash fuse box are good, however the owners manual says that the quarter window fuse is at the starter relay box, but it says that one is for the door locks and sound system too and they work fine.. I'm lost, please give some input.. thanks,

Quote:
Id so sounds like you have a bad relay and also my guess would be the relay is in the door somewhere. I'd have to look it up cause I have never had power window problems in my Stangs just power door lock issues lol. Also note that a tired window motor can lead to high amperage and killing relays. So I would replace both while I'm at it. |
