Question Transmission Swap?

hey, i probably shouldn't be in this forum, but ill throw this question in anyways. I have an 88 auto. accord, and I really dont want an automatic anymore. Are transmission swaps even heard of or is that even possible? Also, if it is possible how much would it be just to convert a car from automatic to manual? Thanks alot for your time. :smoker2:

The cost of converting your car from an automatic to a 5-speed are not worth it. It's more valuable for you just sell your car, and buy a new one. You've got pedals, ecu, transmission, master cylinder (hydro trannsmission), shifter, shift linkage, modified interior to accomodate the shifter, probably a hole or two, plus labor.

Not worth it!

We actualy just did this to a 94 civic ex in our car club. All I have to say is if you don't know how to do this yourself you might aw well let the idea go. Like everyone else said, aside from the mass amounts of $$$ for all the parts necessary, you will have to pay someone to do it.
