Change oil light

my moms got a 99 windstar and i was wondering how to get the change oil light off. im sure theres just a combo of buttons that you push, but we just havent figured it out yet. i know you can just press "reset" everytime you start the car to get it off, but we were looking for something that would turn it completely off.

Re: Change oil light

If you still have the owners manual, it will be in there.

If you don't have an owners manual, see if this link will open.

Re: Change oil light

The '99 can be tricky because the system gives you almost no time to "input" when input is due. I think I have found that it easier if the engine is idling ... perhaps because the PCM and instrument cluster have other things to do ... and you get a bit more time to press the right button.
