LS7 Crate Engine
lol, it will be out in fall of 05, lol, these things are putting down 500hp stock? any ideas of what it could handle or how hard it would be to put one in a 4th gen camaro? i dont think these engines are on the street yet so i dont expect 100% correct numbers... just ball park it...

Re: LS7 Crate Engine
They are said to cost $16,000.
They should fit a late model F-Body. It is still LSx based. I have heard rumors of 512 RWHP for the stock ones.

Re: LS7 Crate Engine
GM states it's 505hp on the dyno.
Engine dyno. Still, not bad at all for a pump gas motor with a warranty.

I heard a rumor that one hit 512 RWHP. GM tested. Not sure how valid that is though.

From a friend that works for GM....
Production for the new Z06 is this month. First one should be rolling off the line sometime in the middle of this month.

With a 0-60 in the mid 3 second range on the 06 Z06...I'd bet on very close to 500 at the wheels. |
