Transmission Comp. slipping?

Hey guys, i been readin the forms.....hopefully ya'll know what your talking about. Anyway I have a 1995 Camero 3.8 v-6 with a 4 spd. automatic. the other day i was stopped at a red light and when i pulled out it shifted hard. the dreaded check engine light soon followed. When i had the code checked it came back as transmission comp slipping. Can someone tell me what this is and how to fix it. thanx

Re: Transmission Comp. slipping?

whats the numeric designation of the code???? its easier to research that way.

it sounds like a slipping torque converter if im not mistaken, but im not 100% sure. If im right, fixing it will involve removing the driveshaft and transmission. swapping the torque converter and putting them back in.
