Can i do it?

I'm thinkin of swappin a zc into my 91 civic si. I see in the engine swap issue of honda tuning its supposed to be pretty easy and doesn't even require a kit. If i have little mechanical experience do you think i could do it by myself? I would rent a crane or what not to lift that heavy mofo.

Its a very easy and straight forward swap. Bolts on. I think all you need is the motor, trans and ECU. if you don't know that much to the points where you may have doubts then don't do it because you might end up screwing something up. You can go rent a cherry picker for pretty cheap for like 1 or 2 days. Other than that have fun and enjoy the swap.

yeah, I don't have much mechanical experience either, but watching my engine get yanked and a new one put in (which was a b16) didnt look very hard all. And since the zc is a bolt-in, it should be even easier. just make sure you have the right tools and be careful...and make sure you have a helper or 2.

it's not that hard. We did that swap in less than a day. (ZC) The B16 we did was a pain cause of the mounts.

ZC is really easy, but I think if you don't have a lot of mechanical experience, you might wanna get some help from a friend who is.

i have no mechanical experience my self i just know about my car he he
took me a whole day to unplug the engine and to pull it out too, i rented a engine hoist from united rental 26 a day and 80 bucks a week...! and it took me another day to put in the b16a2 some what easy if you know your car and know where everything is i was getting a headache when i saw all the darn plugs i didnt know where to start he he ..!but i just got to it a while later all the plugs were in the place, the only thing that might be confusing all the xtra wiring to to new ecu...!

yo lowciv....just wondering.....what kind of motor do you have?.....is it a b16a2 or an JDM SiR II.....cuz they're not the same.....sir II only jdm.....and jdm motors have no suffix......so.....you said it's auto too rite?.....so i'm guessing it's a first gen b16a.....unless it's usdm....just wondering.......
