I'm guessing here...but a steering rack from a ex sedan should fit in a hatch and you would need the p.s. pump, lines, mounts, etc... from the donor vehicle...

I have the pump and resovior. It came on my ZC motor.
I would think the 4 door rack would work, right?

I have a power steering rack I could part with, just needs to be yanked. I also have all lines and everything else you'd need.

Really?!, how much would you want for the lines and the rack?

I want to do it, cause when I have my 17's on the car it is really hard to turn.

It was factory fitted to all Aussie 4th gen hatches and 2nd gen CRXs. So I guess you can say that Honda Japan did it first

My SiR 4th gen came with it too - but mine was optioned to the hilt except for the ABS (thank god). I think only the race spec SiRs didn't have it though.

Feels fine to me - nice and tight with plenty of road feedback. Then again - Honda called it power-assisted steering - I think it's progressive - whatever, it works and is sweet

My 92 has power assist as well. I like it, it feels good to me too.

Wrong, only SOME Automatic DX's have it, it was a option on all DX's even the sedan and CRX..... just not many people got it since there really wasnt a need, like i know Eric's car had it stock and he did the auto to manual conversion and a ZC swap and then turbo'd it and he says he loves having power steering, except i dont think its at all necessary....... I love having no power steering and everyone who drives my car says its great and all and it is!! So Mike, dont get power steering, please!!! you car is sooo much better w/o it!!!!

I had it, even when I got my B16. I've since ditched it though.
