SR20DET or KADE-T Comparison
As J_Swigz has banned the flaming of different motors, I see an opportunity to weigh up the pro's of each motor for the potential modifier that graces upon this forum, whether they have spun a spanner before or have just purchased one of our beloved Nissans.
Just remember that this is a 240SX/Silvia/200SX(RWD)/Gazelle/180SX forum, so it encompasses a variety of markets (JDM, USDM, AUS, EURO, etc) and it would be interesting to have some direct comparisons. I, for one, have personally seen over 1000RWHP from a JUN SR motor on 103RON fuel, backed up by a Holinger 6 Speed sequential shift box(www.holinger.com.au) in an S13 Silvia, with plenty of 9 second passes under its belt but more importantly, street driven by the owner to and from work every day. Having owned a S14 200SX race car for the last 2 years, with an RB26DETT sitting between the uprights. I am not partial to either engine in RWD format but having visited both the JUN and Tomei factories in Japan, I am biased towards the SR based on my Tomei 300hp FWD SR22VE powered daily driver. My basis for my previous 'flaming' of the KA was the fact it was never used or modified in Japan but in hind-sight, seeing as the USDM is getting 'decent' power outputs without Japanese after market backing is most note worthy and shows great ingenuity. For this I apologise... Hopefully, J_swigz / the new moderator can add a sticky for helping modify our engine of choice whether it be an SR or a KA, preventing flaming of the con's of fitting the 'other' motor... Thanks,

Re: SR20DET or KADE-T Comparison
If you wanted to stir up the hornets nest you should have said something like:
Right now Ivan at PhatKAT is having problems getting cams big enough to make power over his current number. Also, I have heard he is having frequency problems with his intake manifold. Is it relevant to any KA owner on this board? nope... last I saw the highest GOAL was 350WHP... but they still get really butt hurt when you mention things like that.
