In Progress - Black pearl Scooby

Along with the Gallardo, I am working on this cool car. They will both be quick builds. I'm replicating my Gran Turismo 4 Scooby.

It has been painted with Cobra Colors - Nero Osirus Pearl. A Lambo black pearl used on the Gallardo. The flash shows a little of the pearl effect. After clearcoating this will be an awesome color I think. It has hints of red/blue/bronze in the black.

Plans for this one: It will be mostly box stock. I will be converting the dash to LHD as we see it here in the US. I will use the gold kit wheels, lower it a tad, and add a Carbon GT wing.

Very nice color. I can see the bronze and blue in the first pic. Now let's see some clear on these bad boys.

Yep, looks good, but definitely needs some clearcoat to breathe life into it.

Tonio, the paint's already on the way.

Great!!!! Cobra: Did you use the same formula for that paint as the factory Obsidian black pearl? Looks great! Tha musta' been tricky to make.
Matt: Oh man...not the plain old kit rims...They would look really cool in bronze. To each their own. Good luck man.

Looks pretty sweet. Is that Lamborghini painted with the SE30 purple paint? EDIT(Never Mind I just found you're other thread!)

Cheers

The color on the Lambo looks like something special. Hope you can clearcoat them soon.

I wish you could just try the paints! They go on so smooth that you'd almost think there's a catch to it! I'm hooked!

More cleanness from you, yay! You seem to constantly be working on kits, and you get through them so quickly! Can't wait to see this (these) done.

No joke! I don't think I will ever paint another body with paint that isn't Cobra Colors. Someone with mediocre airbrush skill (even me!) can put down better than mediocre paint! The real trick is, I think, the color coat isn't glossy so it lays down smoother, then the clear shines it right out. So much easier than all the spray bomb's I've used before!!
