heeeelppp with heel toe
okay, i tried doing heel toe except for certain problems i encountered:
1. Is my feet just too big that i cant fit it in there properlly? 2. When i try to do heel toe the gas pedal is way lower than the brake so i would end up depressing the brake half way before my heel would reach the gas. --- which means my car would totally slow down or even jerk to a stop. 3. and when i try to angle my feet its kinda hard coz my legs start to hurt when it gets in that angle! and i'm pretty tall too so that might have something to do with it. am i the only one with this problem...  oh yeah here's a linkie just in case you need more info: http://www.geocities.com/df001356/heeltoe.html

oh yeah, now that i think about it... the replacement for heel toe is the left foot braking technique which seems like it does the same thing... hmmm

left foot braking will work in place of a heel toe............if you have a 3rd foot to use the clutch with.
 What i would do is make some adjustment to you pedals, you can adjust them up or down a bit. Make it so its a little more even, and practice, practice, practice, and then it will become 2nd nature. Just a note, some times you cant do a true heel-toe downshift, there just isnt enough room, as is the case in my Miata. When I heel-toe, it is more of a toe-toe, becuase I dont have enough room in there to rotate my heel to get the the pedal. So half of my foot is on the brake and the other on the gas.

Heel-toeing isn't really just for drifting. Check out this website for more...
TurnFast: Heel Toe Downshift It's what taught me how to do it. My shifts for turns and stuff are great now. Be sure you check some of the other articles, the place is great.

don't worry about it..just keep at it
but isn't there any long term or short term damage to your prelude if you repeatedly pull handbrake in motion? won't it get weaker?

i'm sure there's a damage to the car... ive researched it and yes there is... don't quite remember what...
what i've found out is that you have to enjoy your car... i had a car i babied and never raced and someone stole it... so all the hard work gone... so now i just want to have fun and dont think of all the problem... i still take it easy but i just enjoy it more.
