Gated Shifter in '98 Diablo

A few questions......

Are there any other Diablo owners out there that dislike the shifter?

Is it gated to insure a positive shift action?

Is there such a thing as an aftermarket shifter for a Diablo?

Hello,

the shift gate on the Diablo was designed to cope well with the forces needed to move throught the different speeds.
I don't know of any official gearshifters from Lamborghini to modify the one in the Diablo, but I'm sure you'll be able to find some aftermarket material in any of the local car accessoires shops.

I've seen Diablo's with different gearknobs before, also it is possible to remove the gated plate completely, just take care not to accidently shift into the wrong gear this way.

Mark, thanks for your input. I think I'll leave well enough alone. I'm pretty sure this car was never meant to be speed or bang shifted anyway. Also, I feel like with enough seat time, I'll get more profecient with the stock shifter setup.
