Question Fuel Filter Question (easy)

When you replace a fuel filter, what do you use to plug the fuel lines? I can't seem to find anything that works.
note: this is for a fuel injected system

Re: Fuel Filter Question (easy)

Wait overnight without running the car and the pressure will bleed back through the pump. If you try to do it within a few hours of running the car, the fuel will still be pressurized.

Re: Fuel Filter Question (easy)

What I did, was to disconnect the plug to the fuel pump, then tried to crank the car for 2 or 3 seconds. That cleared the lines as well.

My car is a diesel, this might not work for you, but when I change my fuel filter I plug the fuel lines with golf tees.
