Re: Batman Begins

If you don't have enough ass, it's ok. No matter what amount, it's going to get rocked hardcore. I can't believe nobody else saw this yet!

personally i thought it sucked.

a) the fight scenes were terrible. you couldn't tell who was who (especially when he was fighting the other ninjas at the beginning), and you couldn't really see anything.

b) they didn't lead up enough. 3 minutes of him being a kid, then 3 minutes of him in the chinese prison, and then Raz Al Gul shows up. not enough build up IMO.

c) his cheesy-ass "macho" voice he used when he had his batman costume on. give me a break.

d) i expected the entire movie to be a chronicle of how batman came to be. instead they devoted about 45 minutes to that, and to me it seemed kind of tacked on.

e) the villains. they were just regular bad-guys. no penguin, no joker, no riddler. nothing interesting.

f) it didn't seem enough like the comic book. when i see comic movies (Spiderman, Super-man, Fantastic Four (hopefully) etc.), i want to be reminded of the comic books. the last few batman movies were made to be sort of cartoony, and threw back to the books alot. in this one i didn't see as much of a connection, and the lack of a cartoony villain made the whole movie not seem as "fun". i guess the lack of Robin or Bat-girl didn't help either.

i did, however, like the plot of destruction, i thought that was a cool idea. but to me it didn't save the movie from being way shittier then i expected it to be.

but oh well, it's not made for everyone.

Theres no way in hell it can top the first one......... jack nicholson as the Joker, the movie was brilliant. Best comic superhero movie of all time, hands down.

Re: Batman Begins

Seems to follow the "prequel" trend of movies, similar to Star Wars, where someone's bulb turns on and they think "Hey, maybe we should start from the beginning, and make more money"

One actor, Michael Caine, was a good choice to cast, though.

I want to see it. I, for some reason I really don't know, love all the Batman movies. I'm with Suislide though, I think b/c of the things he mentioned it'll be a let down.

Re: Batman Begins

I personally thought it was pretty good. I went to be entertained and entertained I was. There is one thing that kinda strikes me as odd, but I'll wait until more people have seen it so as to not spoil anything for anyone.

I havent seen it yet, I will probably go today. From the commercials though I could already tell that it was going for a more 'realistic' approach with the different car that he has.

Re: Batman Begins

I loved it, sure the fight scenes were blurry, but it was still damn good, gives another view of things, it's different. The new batmobile is totally badass and sure they could of had more on how batman came to be, but for christ sake's they only hjave 2 hours or so to put everything in, I think it was enough background, I understood where he came from and all that, it was fine. Great ass movie!! 9.5/10!!
