so i got in trouble with the cops.....i need your opinions and advice

ok, so every friday night i go to a bowling alley by me to hang out...everyone from my school goes on friday nights just to chill. and so me, my friend justin, his sister and sisters friend, my friend and this pete kid were outside in the parking lot...and this there was an old station wagon and its antenna was bent a little bit, so i bent it back, then this fucking idiot, pete, that goes to my school bends the shit out of it. im liek u dumbass. so we went back inside for a while until the po-po shows up about a 1/2 hour later...fuck. so they come in and who do they go for.......me....and pete. they pull us out of there and ask me question, why would you do it, my full name, address, moms full name, dads full name, all that shit, what school i go to......and just to let you guys know, that is the first time anything liek this has happened, my record had NOTHING on it, i AM a good kid. so the dude that had his antenna bent, looks me in the eye and says, why would u do it? its fucking bullshit, i dont even know you. then he looked at pete and said, i know you and i dont know why u would do it either, this kid is on probation for weed, and hes been in trouble before. so i have to pay for 1/2 of the cost of new antenna (and installation im guessing). so this kid will probably go to the most expensive place. what do u guys think about this? it wasnt even me! how much do u think it will cost to fix?

To pay for a new attenae - no more then 20 $. So if it wasn't you, then make a case. Ask for a court hearing (if they don't give you one). If it wasn't you, you have a clean record, and your friend is the one that did it, and he has a dirty record, let them know it.

installation, turn counter clockwise to uninstall, turn clockwise to install. Unless it was a motorized one, then it might cost some money.

it was and older station wagon. 80's i think, wasnt really paying attention to it. i dont think it would have a power antenna.

id get in touch w/ the cops you had to deal w/ and explain what happened to him. and it sounds like you have witnesses to back your story. and it depends on how good of friends you are w/ this pete kid and if you want to let him take all the heat. id fight it just because id want to still be able to go to the bowling alley if thats where you always hang out.

This Pete guy already has a record and he is the one who got you in trouble when all you were trying to do was something good. I say talk to the cops and tell them what happened, tell them if they still want you to you will pay for your half of the antenna but just ask them to talk to the owners of the bowling alley about what happened to see if you can get back in there.

Why the heck were you bending the thing anyway? Don't touch other people's cars. You could have broken it off trying to straighten it anyway. What if they wanted it bent the way it was? I think that you should still be punished a little bit for messing with the car. Sorry

I don't think you should be punished but I do think you should have to pay the 1.25$ for your half of the new antenna. You shouldnt touch his antenna just for the simple fact that you might get blamed for something. Oh, shit, thats right, you did touch his antenna and you got blamed for something. Lesson learned.

Talk to the owner of the car, tell him you'll buy him 3 new antennas so he can have spares if anybody else bends his antenna, and talk to the owner of the bowling alley and have the owner of the car talk to them with you so they know you apologized and had no cruel intentions. And then both of you can jump pete because hes a dumbass. Then steal his weed, and smoke it.

and to you good luck... Just tell the truth and if they badger you about it tell the court your are willing to take a lie detector test (btw - either insurance or the court will cover the expense of a lie detector test)
