Yes, you read it right. Paul Anka from the '50s! I heard on one of our local rock radio stations, playing clips from his new cd. He covers a lot of popular songs from the '80s and '90s including Nirvana, Oasis,Bon Jovi, Van Halen, and Soungarden to name a few. He performs them with a swing/big band sound, which reminds me of something you'd hear in a lounge. He performs "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana on David Letterman on June 14. Reminds me of that album Pat Boone did in the mid to late '90s that covers rock and heavy metal songs in his style.
