Re: how to install intake on 94 eclipse

did you forget to hook up a vaccuum hose.....that's more than likely the problem.

The car idles rough and dies......that's a vaccuum leak.

Re: how to install intake on 94 eclipse

Are you talking like a cold air intake or an intake manifold? Choking means running very rich, are you sure its choking?

Please, plain english, punctuation, and more description of what's going on would help us immensely.

Re: how to install intake on 94 eclipse

it is a short air intake....i instaled it like u would because u have to hook up the mass air sensor to the pipe or the car wont start after i did all that i started it and when i stop at a red light the car just dies and i have to put it in park and start it back up the rpm keep giggling around from 1 to 1/2 to 0

Re: how to install intake on 94 eclipse

Its possible that there is an intake leak between the MAF and the TB allowing large quanities of air in that isn't metered.

Try putting the old intake back on and see if the problem stays.

Re: how to install intake on 94 eclipse

Nope. You could run without the filter and it should be fine. (except for the dirt you'd ingest)
