the carnage continues

So if you've read my last 3 threads, it's obvious I've managed to get in a few races the last 3 days, here are the rest of them.

About 3am we are leaving a friend's house and my friend pulls out in his modded 3rd gen ATX NA eclipse. The roads are empty and we are bored so as always he decides to try and race me. Well needless to say it didn't work out very well for him. I whipped out into the left lane, pulled up next to him and paced him as he is racing me. His passenger (unaware that I can walk the eclipse whenever I deem necessary) is having the time of his life screaming and cheering on the driver.

Well this contines as we accelerate up to about 80, from 25. At 80 I decide this kidding around has gone on long enough and I should get out of the left lane as I don't really feel like dealing with the police at this time. So I depress the pedal all the way down and hop ahead and pull into my lane and flash the blinkers just to be a jerk! As we parted ways he pulled up next to me at a light and was laughing so hard he could barely drive. Apparently his passenger "thought they had me this time". It was good fun amoung friends and I headed home for a few Rolling Rocks.

I raced an integra...not really much to say. I had more than twice the power and walked him by bus lengths. Freshly humbled, his friend and him were not smiling at the next light.

A newer jeep cherokee instigated a race of sorts. Apparently he had seen that new commercial where the jeep beats a bimmer and whatever else, and had thought his SUV would hang. It didn't.

The final race that comes to mind occured a couple miles after I raced the mini cooper from the other thread. I was only 3 or so miles from home and really had to pee...BAD! So I'm trying to part traffic like the Red Sea, weaving in and out. Yet for some reason there are a dozen cement trucks and whatnot, on a road they barely use, taking up both lanes, driving the speed of an infant crawling.

So I'm about to explode as I finally get through all these damn trucks and take off like a bat outta hell. Well this got the attention of a earlier 90s corvette who decided he wanted to play. I however was not in the mood as I just wanted to get home and pee. Well he followed me into one of my final turns and I just floored it, by the time I got to fourth gear I checked back for cops and noticed that he was trying to keep up. He was a little ways back in my mirror, probably about 6 feet off my rear bumper, but staying there. I took it up to 115 but decided to chill out a bit, as I figured there were probably cops up ahead. He pulled up next to me and rolled down his window.

I did the same and said "nice race". He congratulated me and complained about something being automatic. I told him I was 6spd. He complimented my car. All around a nice guy but this still didn't solve the fact that I needed to be home, so I nodded said "maybe next time" and got back to focusing on getting home in the next 30 seconds.

Re: the carnage continues

For the price of $5.95 I'll send you two vtec stickers!

Back on topic. So...I've read it now. Those newer Jeeps give me a pretty good run. Hard to say who will win or lose. I've only raced one, and it ended early due to traffic. But we were even up until 55 mph.

hahahah I can walk an eclipse whenever I deem necessary! thats so damn cocky! nice run with the vette...and its nice to know that you can talk about how its dangerous to bob and weave through the lanes...unless you have to pee, because our mod is a 6-year old who can't hold his bladder
