Ok, I have it down to 2.

Ok, I just graduated HS and my grandmother is buying me any car thats 10k and under. I've been looking and looking and looking and looking and I've finally narrowed it down to 3.

1. 93-98 Z28 Camaro
OR
2. 93-2k Firebird.
OR
3.93-3k Transam

Basically its going to be my daily driver to get me to work and college so, out of the 2, which one is better? I was sorta leaning towards the Firebird simply beause I've had a crush on them since I was little, but I'm not sure how practical they are as a daily driver. Dont know much about the Transam either.

Any advice/suggestions would be very helpful.

Re: Ok, I have it down to 2.

my opinion id go with the firebird, just because it looks really nice if you mod it... trans am..and camaro, are all speed...not that im saying the firebird is slow, it still is fast but not as fast.

Re: Ok, I have it down to 2.

as a daily driver none of these cars would be good because of the gas mileage, but hey i said fuck that and got a v8 for daily driver so you can too, i would go with one of the faster choices honestly but thats just the way i am speed over looks, but really if you like the looks of the firebird GO FOR IT!

What about a 1995ish BMW M3, there are 3 in my area that, if I chip in, we can afford.

1 is a 1995, with 95k miles, 2nd one is 1996 with 123k miles, and the 3rd one is a 1995 with 86k miles and ALOT of performance upgrades.

Re: Ok, I have it down to 2.

if you can get an m3 i think i would, better handling with good performance, if you can get the modded one go for it, but either way its a good buy.

Yea I seem to have fallen head over heels for the M3. I liked the 95k one, but i REALLY liked the modded one, only thing with that one is, how reliable is it with all that stuff on there? How bad will it wear down the engine.

Seems they just added some new ones. Heres a link to the ones that I can afford.

Re: Ok, I have it down to 2.

My buddy has a 95 'bird, 3.73 rear, AFR heads, SLP headers, cam, and some other goodies and he made 30 mpgs consistently on the highway. Around town it wasn't the greatest at 22, but still respectable.
