Get your VIN number and get a carfax report on your vehicle, that might give your bastard car a name :sun: Or... get the VIN number and call a dealership where they might have access to a decoder.

if you are weak, you may try: 1-penetrating oil and 2-a longer breaker bar to increase the torque. |

I forgot what to torque it to, but you'll be alright if you don't over torque them.
make sure you are on level ground when you remove and install. torque all to the same ft-lbs, I'll say 22. |

Details from CarFax
I was looking at buying a used Max when I realized that I don't know what kind of Max it is. The dealer says it's an SE but I wanted a definitive way to know. I checked CarFax and the report came back as GLE/GXE/SE . The report had some other interesting information (so it wasn't a complete waste) but it did not answer my question. I guess I'll have to call a dealer.
As it turns out the Nissan Dealership was no help. I'm not going to worry about it because I don't think I'm going to buy the car (mechanic says it needs too much work). Last edited by oakiefan; 06-10-2002 at 11:02 AM. |
