Finished: Auriol's Fabia WRC (Reji, resin)

And finaly affer 6 months it is done. Complete progress thread with interior detail pictures here

And as promised here is the full report.

Primer: Tamiya white primer (spray)

Colors: Dupli color Acryl (White, metalic gray (70-0110), metalic green (30-0490))

Clear coat: Acryl Technocolor

Scratch:

· Driver and co-driver foot bells
· 80% of roll cage
· Light covers
· Oil coolers
· Fuel lines

Extra parts:

· Full electric wireing with connectors
(Modeler's wires i Sakatsu connectors)
· Hydraulic with connectors (Scaleracecars connectors)
· Fuel lines with connectors (Sakatsu)
· Instrument table (switches, bolts, washers as warning lights Scaleracecars)
· Shifter details (Scaleracecars)
· Details on foot bells (Scaleracecars)

Other:

· Cigi paper as heat shield
· Bare metal foil
· Soldering wire for coolers and fuel lines
· Electic isolating tape (varios colours)
· Tamiya masking tape
· Thin cooper wire
· Isolator from wire

Things to take care of: First fit the vac forms before painting, fit PE parts before painting, watch for air intakes on bumper and hood before cleaning also take care of side window frames when cleaning. If building roll cage take care of fittment at every added beam (not only body to chasis but also take care of the seats position) Drill holes for antenas and specialy befor painting fit the drivers wiper (you will need to make a cut for it in the body) also wipers are not shown good in instructon so be carefull that the longer wiper arm is co-drivers. Take care of the rear wing because you will need to shave it well as it interfear with rear window.
If someone incounter any other problem feel free to drop me a PM.

And few of them with car on it's stand

Re: Finished: Auriol's Fabia WRC (Reji, resin)

Looks fantstic with all that extra detail! Great interior detail, quick release steering wheel is top notch. Paint separation is a little rough, but its to be expected on a poor quality esin kit anyway.

Unique model. Good job!

Man that model must be something else if it bought Ray back to the forum. Howdy Ray!
Seriously Sasa that is fantastic, all the skill and work involved to bring a very rough Reji kit up to that level deserves an award.

Re: Finished: Auriol's Fabia WRC (Reji, resin)

Thank you guys, I am realy glad that you like it.
2.2 Straight six interior pictures are in progress thread, there is a link at the begining of thread (body is fixed now )
Thank you Zeljko, Ray and Phil it means a lot when the compliments come from you "rally" guys.
And yes paint separation is a bit rough, Zeljko told me to fix that on time but I thought that extra clear coat will solve that.....well I was wrong , another lesson learned .
Thank you once again guys.
