if you cant get a pre-made intake use a drop in K&N filter, or custom make an intake with exhaust piping from www.jcwhitney.com

It is an Si right??? If not your only choice is going to be a k&N drop in because the other models besides the Si are carbed.

If its carbed man, I got some excellent mods you can do, I have a 86 Civic sedan, with a 1.5 liter carbureted engine.

Let me know what your friend has!

86 civ intake

i am pretty sure that HKS and chikara make intakes for 84-87 civs.
i made one out of the original tube coming from the throttle body, a bending 3in rubber plumbing pipe ($10 from Lowes) and a APC cone filter.
