Citadel paints not sticking?

hey,

i was testing out some Citadel paints (the kind used for warhammer models) on a plastic parts "tree" and it didnt seem to stick. could it have been cos i didnt wash it (from grease, oils mould remove agents ect) or are some plastics like this? i was surprised cos being a model i thought most paints would stick!
i would assume if i 'primed' it with an auto spray paint undercoat it would stick?..

any help, advice or suggestions?

(PS. i was just gonna use these paints for detailing small parts cos i already had some, so dont falme me for trying to paint a body or something!)

Try washing the parts. I've never had a problem with Citadels not sticking either plastic or metal. Primer is a good idea, but I've had no problems when not priming parts.
